The speaker dives into the world of California politics, where a gubernatorial debate is underway, and the candidates are making their cases to the voters. But one candidate, Javier Becerra, is noticeably absent from the debate, and his lack of engagement has sparked controversy. The debate, moderated by CNN's Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, is a national event that's getting a lot of attention. But some are questioning why Becerra, the Democratic candidate, is not participating in local debates, and instead, is only agreeing to appear on the national stage. The speaker discusses the implications of this decision and what it might mean for the election. The conversation also touches on the topic of airline safety, as a recent incident involving a hijacking attempt on a Dubai Airlines flight has left many wondering about the security measures in place.
