Becht Surpasses Underwood in Big Ten Rankings | Penn State Nittany Lions Football News

Penn State just pulled off a major offseason coup by landing veteran QB Rocco Becht from Iowa State — a savvy move to inject experience into their Big Ten offense. While he’s not flashy, his familiarity with this style of play is invaluable. In USA Today’s 2026 Big Ten QB rankings, Becht cracks the top 10 at No. 7 — even edging out Michigan’s highly touted Bryce Underwood. That’s no small feat, and it signals Penn State’s bold plan: build around grit and leadership in one of college football’s toughest conferences.
