The disciples were first called "Christians" in Antioch (Acts 11:26) but Jesus called them to be learners of the Anointed One.Scriptures vs. The Word: We must distinguish the Scriptures from the Word of God (John 5:39-40). The Word became flesh (John 1:14) and it is our responsibility to turn the Word into flesh in our own lives.The Holy Spirit is Our Teacher: After the Messiah came, He left another Teacher the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 30:20).
