Jesus commands us (in Matthew 16, Mark 8, and Luke 9) to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and FOLLOW Him. Despite this, many people call themselves “Christians” with little or no thought of following Him. Is Christianity often more of a ritual than a relationship? Is it more of a burden and not a blessing? Is it more of a system and less of a Savior who shepherds your life? If so, you are paying dearly through a loss of lasting fulfillment, personal satisfaction, and eternal Kingdom impact on our world.
