Daniel’s scale has been great, he hasn’t outgrown his infrastructure and has great people working for and with him.Gino makes the connection between mentorship education and the father and son dynamic. The father teaches the son but the son has to do the foot work as was the case between Daniel and the Jake and Gino courses. Starting out Daniel didn’t like traditional investing and compounding interest, he wasn’t seeing the returns that they had promised. He realized that investing in real estate might get them more returns than investing traditionally. So he and his business partner started investing in single family units. He was under the impression that people with multifamily units, apartment complexes and high rises were owned by individuals that were independently super wealthy but he had never heard about real estate syndication, creative cash, and using other people's money to invest. Dan’s first interaction with Gino was on the Bigger Pockets forums. Gino and Daniel’s stories shared similarities and his and Jake & Gino’s stories resonated. Daniel became an instant student of Jake & Gino and hasn’t looked back on his multifamily real estate journey. J&G’s niche in multifamily helped Daniel focus on one amongst the many flavors of real estate so he could get started carving out a spot for himself. He also found that J&G had answers to all his questions whether it be dealing with 3rd party property management or underwriting a property. Daniel juxtaposed Jake and Gino’s programs with other real estate education programs and he feels the former is more complete. But finding the right education company is just the beginning, Daniel says he spent about 10,000 hours working on getting things right and as Gino says, become responsible, curious, and then start getting serious and clear about the direction you need to go. Daniel recommends Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich for people starting out on their real estate journey.
