She has navigated five pregnancies while working in veterinary clinical practice and has been a working mom throughout the majority of her tenure as a veterinarian.   She is also a certified RETAIN parental leave coach. Emily’s career in veterinary medicine has included experience in shelter medicine, private practice, relief, and mobile practice.  She currently works as a veterinary writer, consultant, and mentor and offers coaching and consulting services to individuals and employers to improve the workplace experience for working parents in vet med.Emily Yunker, DVM, VMRT, CVH, doula is a 2012 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary medicine. She worked 7 years in emergency medicine. Then she focused on integrative medicine and pet rehabilitation.
