Becoming great people

from City on a Hill Hosted by Peter Anderson

Jesus redefined greatness for his disciples who were jostling for position and desired to become better than each other. In Jesus' time the Jews had a misunderstanding of what greatness was all about. The Jewish people had been under the oppression of the Egyptians, Babylonians, the Medes, Persians, the Greek empire and now the Roman Empire. All of which express greatness in a dictatorial fashion; heavy handed and harsh.
