Becoming WONDR is the story of a life lived in many forms—the identities I’ve worn, the worlds I’ve built and left behind, the moments that broke me open and the ones that led me home. In this six-part series, I trace the threads of my own becoming—the initiations, the experiences and learnings, the unraveling and the quiet revelations that have shaped me. Each chapter is a portal, an invitation to surrender, to trust the unseen and to follow the pull of WONDR. This is not just my story; it’s a mirror for anyone standing at the edge of change, ready to step into the mystery of what comes next... ready to trust in life! This episode is the first in a six-part series exploring the different iterations of my life—because I have truly lived many. Some people grow up in the same town, surrounded by the same people, following a linear path through life. That wasn’t my story. I have evolved, shed old skins, and transformed into entirely new versions of myself over and over again. And in order to understand where I stand today—on the precipice of deep surrender, authenticity and trust—we need to start at the beginning. In this episode, I reflect on my foundational years, growing up in a deeply fundamentalist Christian home. I share what it was like to navigate the expectations placed on me as a girl, the search for external validation, and the impact of a childhood that taught me to silence my own inner voice and knowing. I explore the early seeds of spirituality that would later blossom into my own understanding of the divine, as well as the patterns of judgment, self-doubt and suppression that I would spend decades unlearning. This is the first life I lived. The first thread in the tapestry of WONDR. And as I begin the practice of speaking my truth—reclaiming my voice after years of quieting it—I invite you to journey with me through these portals of my life’s transformations.
