Bede Vs. The Living Dead Episode 11 - Night Of The Living Dead: Darkest Dawn (2015) and Night Of The Living Dead: Rescored (2016)

Hey, everyone! Welcome to episode 11 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. The podcast where your host Bede Jermyn explores the remakes, re-edits, reimaginings, homages, unofficial follow-ups and more to George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night Of The Living Dead across all media. Now that the first major milestone of the podcast is out of the way, we continue on with our journey of exploring all the many different variations of Night Of The Living Dead over the years. Believe me, there is still many more to come for the rest of 2023. For this 11th episode, your host Bede is going to be looking at both the second animated NOTLD remake with all-star voice cast with the 2015 CGI animated film Night Of The Living: Darkest Dawn and Lakeshore Record's 2016 re-edit of the original 1968 film Night Of The Living Dead: Rescored, which has a brand new original music score composed specially for it from ORGE & Dallas Campbell (which you can buy/stream from iTunes and Spotify). Joining Bede to discuss both of these animated and rescored versions of Night Of The Living Dead is podcaster, historian and filmmaker Brad Henderson, who also currently works for the BluRay/music label TerrorVision. Highlights in this one include Bede & Brad discussing what's coming up in the future for TerrorVision, the George A. Romero project that Brad is working on, Night Of The Living Dead: Darkest Dawn's ugly and misguided CGI motion capture animation, what Tony Todd brings to his vocal performance of Ben here compared to his live action portrayal of the character in the 1990 remake, how Night Of The Living Dead: Rescored's brand new score changes the feel of the original classic, which tracks stood out from the soundtrack and so much more.
