Bede Vs. The Living Dead Episode 61 - Day Of The Dead: Desertion (2010) and Day Of The Dead: The Rising Of Bub (2005)

Welcome to episode 61 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. After covering the third entry in George A Romero's Night Of The Living Dead series on the previous episode with the 1985 film Day Of The Dead, your host Bede Jermyn moves onto taking a look at everything that is linked to that film in different areas of media. For this episode, Bede takes look at at a two comics are set in the world of DOTD: the 2010 special one-shot prequel comic for the DOTD Arrow Video BluRay release Day Of The Dead: Desertion and the 2005 first & only issue of the cancelled sequel comic mini-series Day Of The Dead: The Rising Of Bub.Joining Bede to discuss these two comics is returning guest Doug Tilley (Cinema Smorgasbord, No-Budget Nightmares). Highlights include how Day Of The Dead: Desertion explores the backstory of the zombie Bub, the one scene that shocked Bede, praise Jeff Zornow's artwork on both comics, why only one issue of Day Of The Dead: The Rising Of Bub was made?, Bede & Doug wondering where the story would go if it continued and so much more.
