Bede Vs. The Living Dead Episode 74 - Night Of The Living Dead: Live! (2019)... The Campy Comedic London Stage Production Of The Classic Film

Welcome to episode 74 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. While your host Bede Jermyn has covered a lot of differents forms of media when it comes to Night Of The Living Dead over the past year or two, there's one area that hasn't covered for a while on the podcast, which just happens to be the theatrical stage production side. The last time Bede dived into this subject, was back on episode 12 when he looked at the 2020 experimental stage play Night Of The Living Dead: Remix. For this episode, Bede goes back to that well to look at the 2019 London stage production of another NOTLD play Night Of The Living Dead: Live!. Joining Bede to discuss this play is someone who knows a thing or two about the theatre world, and that is Bede's co-host on the BVTLD network show Bede & Steve Vs. Camp Crystal Lake and co-owner of The Knack Theatre: Steven T. Boltz. Highlights include Bede & Steve wondering if taking a campy comedic approach was the right call, the bizarre choice of having some audience member sit on the stage, praising the show's production design, how this play is linked to Evil Dead: The Musical!, the utterly insane second act turn and so much more.
