The introduction of Malachi prepared us for a book that was going to ask us to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves. Chapter one did not disappoint as the prophets inspired words to the priests remind us that the Lord is deserving of our honor, our praise and our obedience. These are not just verbs of the mouth but also actions reflected through the condition of our heart. Let this inspire us to look honestly at where we are at in our struggle with the flesh and find renewed strength to walk in the light of righteousness that our Father has provided in Christ.
