Bees sluggers ready to hit the diamond

The Box Elder High School baseball team has completed its first week of practice and is ready to take the field this weekend at a tournament in St. George where the team will square off against Dixie, Springville, Cedar City and Maple Mountain. The Bees are looking to improve over last season’s 7-19 record. They squeaked into the postseason ranked 23rd in the final 5A RPI rankings. Woods Cross promptly took two games from the Bees in the best-of-three firstround series and knocked the Bees out of the playoffs.
