Beeston Castle

from National Treasures with Laura Lexx and Will Duggan

This week we head back to the start of the year and Cheshire to take a good look at Beeston Castle, an Iron Age fort atop a very steep hill. Apparently, the castle is the hiding place of Richard II long lost treasure but all we found were some A-Grade toilet facilities, a delightful view and a replica Bronze Age Roundhouse; where volunteers Andrew and Jackie tell us what’s what. We would love to hear from you so please do get in touch on Twitter or Instagram @TreasuresPod or if you are more traditionally minded when it comes to correspondence you can email us on [email protected] National Treasures is hosted by Laura Lexx and Will Duggan, and produced by Ben Hillyar and David Mayes. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
