Before Creation, There Was Love | Homily for Trinity Sunday
from At the Lamb’s High Feast · host Fr. Timothy Eck
Homily for Trinity Sunday on May 31, 2026. On Trinity Sunday, the Church contemplates the deepest truth of reality: God is one God in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This mystery is not an abstract puzzle but the revelation that God is eternal love, and that all creation comes from Love and is sustained by Love. To believe in the Trinity is to recognize that we are made from love, for love, and ultimately for communion with God. Mass Readings: First Reading: Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9 Psalm: Daniel 3:52, 53, 54, 55, 56 Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 Alleluia Verse: Cf. Revelation 1:8 Gospel: John 3:16-18 Links: Readings Link: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/052426-Day Site: https://verbumcaro.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AttheLambsHighFeast
