BEFORE THE DAY BEGINS - PT. 5 A Time of Praise Psalm 100:4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” As we come to the end of our morning devotion time this week, there is one final step that is often overlooked but it’s incredibly important: Praise. Many of us begin our prayer and devotion time by bringing our burdens, concerns, needs, and requests before the Lord. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. God invites us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us. But if we are not careful, we can spend all of our time focused on our problems and leave without ever focusing on His greatness.
