San Francisco LGBT Sangha's 20th anniversary daylong hybrid event online and at the SF Buddhist Center, June 18th, 2022 Arinna Weisman gives a brief dharama talk on beginning anew, imperfection, and frienship: "Beginning with that: how often we've internalized perfection, how this culture has lifted up and constructed some aspect of ourselves and the need to be perfect. And how when we don't reach those goals — whether it's in our practice, or whether it's in relationship to our mind, or in our relationships, or in our work, or really in anything — we find ourselves failing. How often that experience of failure — or sometimes even failure and shame and inner self-judgment or blame — can stop us from beginning again"
