🌿 Beginnings - Genesis 45 - Heaven is....a place in Egypt?

When Moses wrote Genesis, he was writing to God's people who were migrating out of slavery in Egypt to freedom in the promised land. He showed them why 200 years earlier, God led their ancestors from the land of promise to Egypt in order to save their lives.  To Egypt. Out of Egypt. All this wandering without a permanent home. That's not just the reality for the ancient Israelites, it's our reality as well. If you're in Christ, then your home isn't your current residence. Your home is wherever He is. The big story of the Bible teaches us how to long for that place. The place of resurrection and rest.
