The veteran quarterback who has spent his entire career at TCU has impressed so far this season. 603TCU’s leading receiver, Eric McAlister is putting together a sensational season with 603 yards and 7 touchdowns through the team’s first 7 games. For perceptive, West Virginia’s 3 leading receivers, Cam Vaughn, Rodney Gallagher and Grayson Barnes have combined for just 606 yards this season. McAlister’s 603 yards have him ranked 12th in the nation, and his 7 touchdown catches tied for 5th.4 TCU Safety Jamel Johnson has picked up 4 interceptions in 2025. En route to their 42 points, the Horned Frogs ran the ball 38 times for 196 yards, good for an average of 5.2 yards per carry. They were led by Kevorian Barnes’ 106 yards and 2 touchdowns.Prior to this showing, TCU struggled mightily on the ground through their first 3 conference games, totaling just 176 yards. These numbers were largely skewed due to Arizona State’s 6 sacks against the Horned Frogs, but the first 3 games of Big 12 play, TCU was averaged just 2.16 yards per carry.
