The President has the power to lower flags on other occasions and this is an occasion that may be a good expression of grief. Currently at show time only four states have ordered flags to half-mast. How about The House this week voting to not allow personal Confederate flags on Confederate soldiers' grave sites in Federal cemeteries. How about the symbol of New Orleans being racist?
