COURTVISION with Ven-Allen LubinEpisode 7: Coaches, Confidence & Hard Conversations This week, we engage NC State's Ven-Allen Lubin as he reflects on the emotions of his final home game and the end of his college career, including gratitude for his family and the unique journey of playing for multiple programs. Lubin discusses returning to Notre Dame's Joyce Center for the last time, balancing past memories with present goals, and how different coaching styles—from softer, relationship-based talks to direct, aggressive feedback—shape performance and confidence. Ven-Allen shares a difficult conversation about effort and playing time that initially added pressure but later became motivation. Lubin explains how messaging and role clarity impact confidence, describes sideline communication challenges, and details his leadership approach in halftime locker rooms.
