From the time we are born again, we begin to grow as a Christian with the ultimate goal of being like Jesus. This process lasts a lifetime and we as Christians should take an active role in this process. Websters 1828 Sanctification – The act of making holy. (Holy means set apart) Key Verse 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 1 Peter 1:5-7 – For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
