Behold the Man
from John 19-21 · host R. Daniel Knox
Pilate presents the scourged Jesus in a crown of thorns and a purple robe: "Behold the man!" The chief priests demand crucifixion, first on a charge of insurrection and then of blasphemy, because he made himself the Son of God. Pilate grows more afraid, yet Jesus tells him he has no authority except what is given from above. To keep Caesar's favor, Pilate hands over the true King of the Jews, at noon on the day of preparation for the Passover.
