冬储大白菜味儿。立冬前后，各副食店门前搭起临时菜站，大白菜堆积如山，从早到晚排起长队。每家至少得买上几百斤，用平板三轮自行车儿童车等各种工具倒腾回家。大白菜先摊开晾晒，然后码放在窗下门边过道里阳台上，用草帘子或旧棉被盖住。冬天风雪肆虐，大白菜像木乃伊干枯变质，顽强地散发出霉烂味儿，提示着它们的存在。
