from Sister Science Stories · host Jill Novak

In this episode of Sister Science Stories, Jill Novak interviews Laureen McNaughton, a retired teacher, mother, ally, as she shares her personal healing journey. Through embracing the intention to 'be a blessing' in every situation, Laureen reflects on how this shift has transformed her life, improving her physical health and well-being. Together, we explore the balance between tangible work and spiritual growth, self-care, and the power of reframing life’s challenges with purpose. Laureen would like to acknowledge the beauty and wisdom of the Stoney Nakoda and Ktunaxa People who have cared for the land she calls home for thousands of years.  Laureen is a life-long learner who is dedicated to being an ally to Indigenous people and those who are marginalized. She is retired teacher who loves spending time with her tree and human friends.  She loves to listen to children and loves reading stories and singing with them.  Laureen is walking a path of continuous improvement and embracing the power of “slow” living to become more present and mindful so that she can be a blessing in the world.  Laureen lives, works, plays, writes, knits and loves on the ancient lands of the Stoney Nakoda, Ktunaxa and Sinixt Nations, with her partner John and her two adult sons.
