When I first started my fitness journey I wanted to be a fitness influencer. I wanted to be sponsored and I wanted to have hundreds of thousands of followers because I thought that is what would lead to my monetary goals. As I got deeper and deeper into the influencer side of the fitness industry, I realized that a lot of influencers weren’t actually making that much money. A lot of my friends who had much larger followings than myself were actually making less than me. And working a nine-to-five job to just make ends meet. This is when I realized that being an influencer doesn’t automatically equal the monetary success that I was striving for. And then what blew my mind was I had friends who had fewer followers than me but were making more money than me. All because they were offering a service with their instagram pages. So I switched my focus from being an influencer to being a business, and THAT is where I got the monetary success that I wanted.
