BEING AN EXAMPLE IN CONDUCT

Devotional Message: Scripture: "Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." – 1 Timothy 4:12 Paul’s charge to Timothy is not just for the young—it's a powerful reminder for every believer. We are called to be examples of Christ in every area of our lives, not just in what we say, but in how we live, love, believe, and pursue holiness. Our conduct can inspire faith or hinder it in others. Being an example in speech means using words that build up, not tear down. In conduct, it means living with integrity and consistency—especially when no one is watching. In love, it’s putting others before ourselves. In faith, it’s trusting God through trials. In purity, it’s guarding our hearts and minds to honor God. The world is watching how believers live. Our lifestyle can be the most powerful testimony of the gospel. When we strive to be examples, not for recognition but to reflect Christ, our lives become a light that draws others to Him. Today, ask yourself: In what areas of my life am I setting an example for others? Do my actions reflect the character of Christ? Prayer: Almighty Father, help me to be an example of Your love and truth in every part of my life. Let my speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity point others to You. Strengthen me to live with purpose, integrity, and humility. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
