Being and Doing - Audio
from Salem Magley Church Podcast · host Chris Hirschy
Most people think about eternal life as something we receive later. A future hope. A promise after death. A place we go someday. But what if eternal life is more than that? In this sermon from John 14, Acts 7, and 1 Peter 2, we explore what the Bible means by eternal life. Jesus tells his disciples that he is leaving, but he is not abandoning them. Instead, he is preparing a place, making a new world, and calling his people to live as part of that new world now. Through Stephen’s bold witness and Peter’s description of the church as a royal priesthood, we see that eternal life is not only something Christians get. It is something we live. Jesus has left us here for a purpose. Until he returns, we are called to follow him, live his way, and bring his life into the world.
