Being cleansed and purified

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. - (NIV)

Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! - (NIV84)

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Being cleansed and purified

1. The acts of the sinful nature are all around us

2. God put a deep desire for purity into all of us

3. We can’t rid ourselves of sin & unrighteousness

4. God sent Jesus to cleanse us and make us holy

5. God has created man for His divine assignments
