Being Emotionally Available

from On Finding Peace · host Chris Shea | Age of Radio

Being emotionally available is not easy for everyone. In this episode, Missy and Chris talk about what it means to be emotionally available and why some of us struggle with this. Emotions are our guidance system in life, yet the unknown of the future causes us anxiety, in turn causing us to close off emotionally. Missy and Chris talk about the emotional walls we put up, recognizing that walls both keep things out and keep things in. It's our responsibility, or "my response" to either wall off or share our emotions. Missy reminds us that emotions are "energy in motion", challenging us to reflect on how we can change our behaviors, in action, to effect a healthy emotional response to life. There is no right or wrong when it comes to emotions, but Missy and Chris share a bit about themselves in the hope that you can learn from them and so create your own inner peace.
