Being Fully You Is Complicated

Heyyyy!!! In this episode we’re covering a few good topics (as usual!). Check it out. In Segment 1: What’s Happening Now the talk is on Black Panther shattering the myth that a black cast can’t make money at the box office as it nears the $1 billion dollar mark in Week 3. Get it, fellow Wakandans! Also, covering the gun reform debate and the work of the MSD High students as they take on the NRA and politicians. Also, doing a quick rundown of the move by South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa, to redistribute land from white farmers to black farmers in an attempt to right the wrongs of colonization. Watch that space! In Segment 2: Self Care it’s time to find out who we are, why we are, and step fully into ourselves and our purpose. Oh yeah, this is a deep one! There are 4 questions we need to answer, so grab your notebook for this one: Who am I? Why am I? Am I doing anything right now related to ‘why I am’ that speaks to ‘who I am’? What does it look like for me to begin to actualize my full self in life and in my purpose? This is important work so get ready for the personal shift! In Segment 3: Black Excellence I am spotlighting a truly phenomenal woman who has tapped into her purpose and doing what she was meant to do, April Reign (@ReignofApril on Twitter). From #OscarsSoWhite to #ReignyDayJobs and now her new platform Akuarel, April is doing major things in the fight for inclusion. Follow her on Twitter!
