So the email that came in today said, Michael, I have massive anxiety. What is there to be grateful of? You've come to the right place because this is the Daily Grateful where we do these things like every day and I am Michael Kroos. Let's see what happens.
Anxiety sucks. I know. The whole realm of that anxiety, panic attacks, you know, all that stuff. It just drives me batshit crazy and I don't like it and it happens to me.
It happens to a lot of people. A lot of people have anxiety and there's a lot of reasons to have anxiety. If you're grateful, if you find things to be grateful for, it's going to help. It's not going to help as well as I don't know.
A prescription drug for anxiety? I will tell you that 19 years ago when my mom died, the anxiety level in my brain was such that I couldn't drive down the street and my doctor finally, you know, put me on meds, put me on an antidepressant for a while, just for a while. But he also gave me another little pill that I could just take if I had immediate anxiety. If, you know, because little things would just, you know, I would see things that reminded me of mom and I would just like fall apart.
It was terrible. So I had to rely on those for a while. But eventually, I got over it. I don't know.
I didn't get over it. That's the wrong thing to say. Eventually, I worked my way through it. Yet still, I get anxiety.
I get panic attacks. It's rough. Not as bad as most people or not as bad as many people. But here's how gratitude is going to.
Well, let's just talk about things to be grateful for today. Guess what's happening? It's Friday. Do I have that sound bite anywhere?
Let's see if it's here. Nope, that ain't there. That ain't there. I'm looking for us.
It's Friday, you bastard. There you go. How's that? Let me brighten your day again.
Yeah, that's good. Because it's Friday, you bastard. Thank you, Uncle Neil. But anyway, it's the weekend.
And you have freedom. A lot of people have freedom over the weekend. It's Friday. The work week is behind many of us.
Except I'm working tomorrow. But it's still behind you for the most part. You can now relax. You can unwind.
You got good health? There's something to be grateful for. Okay? Even if you got bad health, there's good news as part of the bad.
There's always good with the bad. And you can be grateful for that. And it's going to help you. It really is.
And then you have to look at the people around you. You know, you have relationships that you can be grateful for. I have five kids. I have five grandkids.
More fun than kids, by the way. I'm grateful for every one of them. Really am. And then what I've always talked about.
What I have always, always talked about. Look for little things that make you happy. And there are little things everywhere you look that make you happy. I saw the cutest dog at the grocery store today.
Just this cute, adorable little dog. Had these eyes. Looked up at me. Just made me smile all over.
And then the owner of the dog, the dog was in the shopping cart in the kids' section area. It's not the kids' section. Where are you supposed to put your purse? She had her dog.
A little tiny yappy dog. And she came up and her, I guess, had to be granddaughter, reached up and started petting the dog on the head. And the dog was just like, and that just made me happy. That's a small joy.
Even in the midst of terrible things happening to you, look for the small joys. And then the other thing that you want to look for doing is to grow. You want to learn new stuff. I'm constantly trying to learn new stuff.
I went to a thing at our local library about YouTube. Took a class in that. Getting ready to take another class in YouTube from another teacher. And it's supposed to be at another library.
So I'm going to go do that. I constantly want to grow. I think I want to get on YouTube too. As a matter of fact, I'm seriously thinking I want to get on that YouTube.
I have a YouTube channel. There's, you know, a picture. I think my latest video on my YouTube channel that I made probably was 15 years ago. I don't know.
I think I put something on there for our technology club. Yeah, I put something on for the technology club. But for the most part, you know, I haven't used it in forever. So I'm thinking about going back into the tube.
I have this wonderful studio that I built. I have lights. I have professional lighting. I've got a professional camera that's over there.
I was looking for the professional camera and it wasn't where it was supposed to be. And it's up against this wall over here. And now I'm wondering how it got there. But I've got a camera.
I've got lights. I've got a second camera that I can stick in here. And I've got this little switcher to where I can switch between the cameras. I just need to...
I'm fixing to get ready on that one, as Scott Smith would say. He's fixing to get ready. I think I'm a little bit more... I think I'm beyond the fixing to get ready because I've got a bunch of stuff ready already.
So now I just have to zone in on what I want to do with YouTube about. And I think I'm pretty much thinking I know. Not positive, but I'm thinking that I know. So learn.
Grow. Have fun with stuff. You know, the song that I see on TikTok or used to see on TikTok, I will not sing it. I will say it.
Good morning. I know it's hard to get up. The sun's in your eyes and life kind of sucks. But you've got this.
I forgot the rest of it. But you've got this. Hey, you never know. I'm remembering it.
There's a million different ways that this whole day could go. So I'm just sitting here to say, I hope you have a great day and be grateful. See you Monday.
