Being Jesus in Your World

God has given each follower of Jesus our own world to impact … a select sphere of influence. For some it is quite large and for others it is smaller. But what matters most is that we realize why (the purpose) He has given us our own unique spot to impact with our individual lives. Simply put: the reason we are here is so that we can be Jesus in this place. In other words, we are to embody Christ our Lord for everyone to see. And as we do, then we’ll be bringing His … story, salvation Gospel, love, service, grace, joy and everything else about Jesus to the people around us, those we are closest to and those we barely know. So how do we make this happen? The Apostle Paul tells us that if we are going to be Jesus to the folks around us then there are (1) some key axioms (truths) we’ve got to believe; (2) some specific action steps we have to take and (3) some definite attitudes we have to embrace. This week we’ll learn about the axioms and next week we’ll look at the actions and the attitudes.
