Being Muslim: Holidays: The Day of Jumuah & The Mawlid

Holidays are sanctuaries that God places within time. They are opportunities to draw near to God in ways that we cannot throughout the rest of the week, month, or year. In this class, we discuss the most frequent holiday we have as Muslims, the day of Jumuah, or Friday. We touch on the virtues of this day and some Prophetic practices we can implement to take advantage of its blessings. We also discuss the Mawlid, or celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ birth.
