Being Peaceful In The Storm

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” (Mark 4:38)    When we’re in the middle of a raging storm in our lives, sometimes we don’t understand why Jesus doesn’t seem to be as stressed about it as we are?!?   After all, the sea was so rough that even these hardy fishermen were scared (now that’s a bad storm!)   But just the fact that Jesus was WITH them, helped them through the circumstances that was terrifying them.   He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet!
