Belästigungsvorwürfe und Machtkämpfe beim ORF

Österreichs größtes Medienhaus wird von einem Skandal erschüttert: Der ORF-Generaldirektor Roland Weißmann ist vergangenen Sonntag zurückgetreten. Eine Mitarbeiterin hatte ihm vorgeworfen, sie sexuell belästigt zu haben und legte dem ORF-Stiftungsrat offenbar belastendes Material vor. Das Gremium setzte dem Generaldirektor eine Frist von wenigen Tagen für seinen Rückzug. Weißmann bestreitet über seinen Anwalt jegliches Fehlverhalten und behauptet, eine einvernehmliche Beziehung mit der Mitarbeiterin gehabt zu haben. Trotzdem räumte er am 8. März seinen Posten, angeblich, um »Schaden vom Unternehmen abzuwenden«. Interessant ist auch der Zeitpunkt, an dem die Vorwürfe publik wurden. Die mutmaßlichen Belästigungsvorfälle liegen bereits vier Jahre zurück. Zugleich steht in wenigen Monaten die Wahl des neuen ORF-Generaldirektors an.
