Belgium And Mexico Review

Dai and Ruth return for an extended podcast, discussing the 3-1 defeat to Belgium in the opening World Cup Qualifier, as well as the very encouraging 1-0 victory over Mexico in Cardiff. This is followed up by a preview of Tuesday's huge game against the Czech Republic. The opening section is based on the qualifier against the Belgians, and the frustrating manner of the defeat. Whilst we scored a great goal, there was certainly a feeling of an opportunity missed. The line ups, the tactics, the key decisions and the goals themselves get dissected as well as a few bigger picture issues. From there, we move on to Mexico, and the man of the moment, Chris Gunter. We riff a little on the centurion himself as well as dissect the bonkers starting line up, which turned out to not actually be that bonkers. We finish with a preview of the Czech Republic game, and mention their impressive 1-1 draw with the Belgians this week, and the impact that has on the group.
