Ben & Jerry’s Atlanta Has Free Ice Cream

The independently owned and operated Black business Ben & Jerry’s has been donating some of their sweet product to First Responders including police, EMTs, and Fire Fighters in the area. “We thank those in our community immensely who have been on the front lines to keep us safe and serve the areas around our shop and we couldn’t think of a better way to do that then with some soft served desert” -Antonio McBroom, Owner. Their shop is still willing to donate more to any front line community workers in need of a sweet pick me up. This initiative is known as Project Joy, which is an initiative to spread joy to first responders and front-line workers with donations of ice cream at participating locations. This isn’t the first of the last charitable partnership with essential workers. The shop hosts first responder discount days, has donated to dozens of hospitals, and other essential workers such as factory workers.
