You're listening to the Wisps was that's investigative studies of paranormal stuff. Wait, what was that was that's investigates? Science of parent was was that watch watch watch watch? Well, they're the Wisps.
Okay. It's it's awesome super fun time paranormal adventure show Seriously, Gary. You're never allowed to name anything again. I guess as live as a podcast can be hey Welcome to the Wis show.
We are back and we actually I actually introduced everybody before we get going I am your host castle with me here is Tim aka beaker And then we've got lurch hey folks the anne peaches and silent dawner out of the studio this week Which is fine because after three years close on 1000 days of making promises. It'll happen We have got a guest with us tonight. Hey, and not just any getting you're not a guess your lurch. Oh, no, no, but You know how often he shows up.
He kind of feels like a guest I do kind of feel like a guest, but we do have a guest and we promise Ben Hanson and I'll be damned if we haven't delivered Ben Hanson hey, how about that actually a personator Hello Ben I'm like a nerd like lurch and Tim are like hey, what's up? Yeah So how you doing Ben yep, yeah, we can hear us okay. Yeah, you're great Yeah, we're having some technical difficulties. We've been on the phone with Ben for like 20 minutes trying to figure out why the hell our laptop Wasn't so Ben are you in are you in the states right now or down under?
Yeah, it's really trips not until the end of the year so I've been selling California right now Yeah, it seems like the Aussies love you out there I see your Facebook posts all the time and you've always got events and stuff planned out in Australia I guess months in advance don't you? Yeah, it's kind of like my my second home I think I mean cuz I went to school. I went I did a year in Australia and I just loved it so much that We filmed there one year and then I don't remember how I got hooked up with this group But they've had me back I think three times four times Yeah, and so just about every year and they put together a tour and we go to like three or four cities And I think I was there three weeks practically one while I'm in so it's great It's kind of hard now though just to drop everything here at home and go do that yeah So is it mostly like you have phone investigations that you're doing out there or there's some ghost investigations in Australia Yeah, so the the tour they have the largest Well kind of the only that's kind of their tagline is where the only paranormal conference Australia and it's called Australia Paragon and that started with Kind of a couple people had a kick it around but it wasn't really anything until another guy took it over and I've been with them from the beginning so that happens once a year, but then they have It started out just primarily a paranormal ghost thing You know kind of like doing the States and those their speakers and all that but What we were doing last time was not just doing the ghost tour, but it's really a couple UFO skywatches I went yeah, we hunting last time. Wow on Yeah, it's like the Australia Bigfoot, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah, I think the only place we haven't gone was Tasmania and then way up north into Darwin, but I've been to all the other major cities I think nice so let me ask you Ben cuz I know that you do do do I know I know I said do I know you do a lot of work in Australia Now here in the States every other city seems to have its own little paracon and you're saying that's the only one They have there do they have kind of the same excitement or buzz they do here in the States and do that the same stuff? I know you're big into UFOs is that a big deal down there as it is here in the States? That's a good question, you know, it's like I think maybe the the stigma is still a little bit stronger there I'd say that because you'll get to some places where you try to get into a venue and You know, you've heard that there's activity there and you're still still get some pushback from some people saying Oh, like you guys are looking for ghosts and you know, we don't believe in that or we don't want any part of that And so that there's still a little bit more of that resistance than you get here But the ghost hunting shows are very popular the thing is they don't really have a big budget to create their own shows So they just kind of consume the American TV shows and that's kind of spurred like it did here You know a lot of the different ghost hunting groups and the UFO stuff. Yeah, I mean, it's pretty much the same.
It's it's kind of just Not I mean because the population base I don't know what they're at now, but they were like When I was there like 19 million people they're probably 20 something million now So when they're they're spread out in where they live in the metropolitan areas all along the coast and not many people in the middle So it's really kind of hard to organize big events So like for the whole country if you have a paracon, you know, you might get a couple hundred people which is a decent sized event You're in the US, but it's nothing like you know getting thousands and tens of thousands of people maybe to come to a comic con or You know, so it's just very different You know, that's why we do these little city tours because we go into these places where you'll have a group in Adelaide And they do run regular ghost hunting tours, you know But it's so funny because when I go there they're like why would you ever come here? It's like a little corner of the world where no one ever visits us nobody from TV ever comes here You know, thanks for coming in and seeing us and it's it's just funny because they really feel like they're so isolated from the world But but yet they they're you know involved in this hobby that is pretty similar in the US And I know that I think from like the state's perspective you think of Australia as an island But in geographic size, it's about the same size of the US as you got most people in the southwestern part and a little bit on the West Coast And there's a lot of desert between but I can understand how that'd be difficult getting a lot of people into one area at the same time With you know as much geography down there as there is Yeah, definitely most people live on the east, you know, Sydney and not to Brisbane But that that's a good gosh I want to say that that that drive was probably like 14 hours or more Wow, and then you have from Brisbane up to cans and that far north it takes you a couple days. Wow It's like driving to Chicago. Yes, seriously So let's let's talk a bit on a UFO stuff Which is kind of interesting field for us because we don't do a whole lot with the FOI angla things We do quite a bit with the Pan Rumland.
So what have you been working on as far as the UFO thing goes? Well, if you've been following the news at all it has been a huge year for UFO stuff, you know this past year never I'd say the past two years never in history has mainstream media taken such notice to it Yeah, and then I'm sorry. I don't mean to interrupt you with like the release of you know the government coming out and saying yeah We actually have documentation of extraterrestrials that have visited us that they've kept under wraps for the last 60 years I think that's pretty big Well, yeah, I don't know this so much they've said that but I mean they're they're They're implying that they don't believe it's from here based on what they've seen, you know So a couple things happened even just this past year as we found out that the Pentagon had With the Department of Defense Pentagon involved with the CIA even had a program from I might get the years wrong But I think it was supposedly ended around 2012 But they had from from the request of Senator Harry Reid Okay, whose friends with Robert Bigelow who owns a budget hotels and motels and he owned Skinwalker Ranch out there in Utah Nice Most of the time so he's really big into this stuff and and Bigelow tries to take a scientific approach and has his science team that went out to Skinwalker and everything and so For some reason with Bigelow space program and everything the FAA comes along and says okay if any pilots have you know reports They want to make about UFOs don't come to us anymore go to Bigelow aerospace industries As I what make your reports to this this private, you know group and company and okay So that didn't really make a whole lot of sense until now We know why because at that time Bigelow sat down with with a Harry Reid and convinced him to to set up pretty much a black budget Project with the Pentagon to open And for you know lack of better term a real-life ex-files Wow it was it was a project blue book type of thing Which was what the Air Force studied? You know six study UFOs.
Yeah, they they opened it up spent 20 million a year in a budget that I it was a It was kind of kept from the oversight committees so they didn't have to disclose it and the main contractor was Bigelow So he's hiring scientists. They had these programs to review these videos on though Luis Elisondo who comes out of that program and and tells the world he says look it was officially ended But the Pentagon and the CIA were investigating UFOs and paying 20 million dollars a year for this and we found some amazing things And he got the release of this video that's been going viral of two Navy pilots, you know chasing this this object around in thermal vision and Then it's just weird you couldn't write a movie script be harder than this because Elisondo and One of the the top execs I'm sorry. I don't remember his name or title, but with skunk works, which is Lockheed Martin's black project Program to make you know a craft for the government He steps down and this other guy and this team of people join up with Tom DeLong who is Blink-182's lead I was just gonna say that name sounds familiar. I think the same thing like that's really familiar.
Yeah, and everyone thinks he's nuts But he's trying to convince the world. I'm not crazy. I'm this is a real important issue He's you know writing emails to John Podesta who's you know Hillary Clinton's campaign manager saying hey if you get elected we need to talk and Then the hack of her emails happens and we have all these emails between Tom DeLong, you know hit and John Podesta's office, and it's just also crazy. It happens like every month.
There's new Revelations coming out and people can't keep up and sometimes the media like will hit on this and say wow this this is really interesting Another time you're like why would you not report on this? This is huge if nothing else the fact that we're spending 20 million dollars a year And if you don't believe in UFOs and don't think that it's important then why not the outrage you know for what wasted money? But the government thought it was important enough I said even from a government standpoint 20 million is not a lot of money But on the other hand it's a lot of money. Yeah, it's sure And I've even heard reports that we're sitting on technology that could end our our need for oil with you know petroleum-based cars that could end our need for world hunger that could all end within one generation and the fact that nothing's Happening because of that that kind of makes me a little bit angry Well, yeah, and that's that's the rumor that's one of the reasons people you know are pushing for disclosure And and so when you're in the circles of these people the disclosure movement, you know what they call it is They're kind of like prognosticators of I don't know like doomsday like they out everyone you I just kind of get tired of reading everyone predicting you know Obama's gonna make disclosure So-and-so's gonna make disclosure it's gonna happen this and then and what I always says You know what until we actually have leverage and there's enough of a voice and enough people care Why would they say anything if there are secret keepers and they've got secrets to technology that could help?
Obviously, it's so entrenched and these people are so powerful They have no reason you know to come out and share now if they've been able to keep it a secret for so long So that's kind of where we're at but everyone's a buzz You know, I mean that you've got I'm going a Tuesday driving out to the UFO Congress, which is the largest UFO conference in the world and We've just got all these players all these big players of Researchers and everything and most of the time they're saying the same things over and over But but really the focus right now is who knows what you know Does Tom DeLong have an insight track did what you know, how did he get this group formed? What is their their agenda? You know for them to come out is it money, you know, are they trying to create a business out of this or are they legitimately doing a limited? You know disclosure, you know what's going on so it's exciting.
So let me ask and I've always been kind of curious on this What is the big Reason like I'm gonna keep this so under wraps. What do you think kind of the big agenda is behind widespread panic global widespread? I mean, I think it's it's been out there enough and there's enough talk about it But I don't think the panic is really good enough answer anymore So what do you think the reason is that they're kind of keeping this under wraps been? Well, it's anybody's guess I think the world has kind of grown up, you know I think we've gone through so much we live in a different age that I think We would adapt, you know to the news, but but it's really kind of based on what what happened in 1952 The Robertson panel was a panel that was commissioned by the CIA and they asked that exact question and they just said well Okay, supposing the government does have information and if we were to reveal it what would happen and so they studied that and their conclusion was that Religion would crumble that the you know economy would be a disaster that Basically at civilized world as we know it would be just overwhelmed and they compared it to you know what happens with what happened with Columbus You know met the the western world or you know the Indians and anytime that there's a more advanced civilization It just crushes the other one just by the contact, you know and so that Supposedly is what geared their thinking in the 50s.
They implemented a ridicule It was actually part of the policy the standard up was to dismiss claims to make fun of people And to get people to think that the UFO thing was just a silly you know like a thing that drunk and people on drugs We're seeing and and that attitude they couldn't keep that up for long though because of the sheer number of people legitimate You know people with some with very high credentials reporting this stuff and so now I think you kind of have to rethink the strategy Why would you hold on to this information now? I'm just guessing but I think that if within the military those who might really know what's gone on that group is probably very very small I think a lot of these secrets That we think the government knows about I think they're just as much in the dark as we are and so Then why let's say the government really has no clue. Let's say they have evidence Yeah, that this has been going on we've been visited, but they have no idea what to do about it So if you come out and tell the American people that not only number one you lied to them, you know for 60 70 years But number two you don't know what to do about it. You don't know who they are why they're here.
You have no answers That's not very comforting You know, so you kind of lose control It's like telling somebody if you're if you're the financial advisor in the stock markets and you just lost all their money And you try to kind of keep them on the hook, you know until you get it back into you come up with some Idea of what you're gonna do right? That's kind of you know how I feel it's going right now is that they probably don't have answers themselves? Well, that makes sense. Hey folks.
There's aliens. I can't tell you much more than that. Good luck with that. Yeah Yeah, but it's very coincidental that you know the the whole UFO phenomenon really took off with with you know Roswell with the nuclear bomb testing and I wonder if that was you know some sort of interaction to You know see what's going on see how we would handle ourselves as a society.
What are your thoughts? Yeah, there has been a definite connect whoever they are it seems to show up, you know and kind of check things out The timeline seems more than coincidental, you know that we were just in fact Roswell was the was the only army base For nuclear the new I think of the word the Squad the squadron that carried those little little boy or big John or whatever the Batman little boy Yeah, so they were based out of Roswell I mean it flew from out of there and that's where the testing was done and and everything all within that you know Just a few year time span. So it is interesting that we had most people don't know this but 1947 the summer of We're looking at that weekend of July 2nd through the 4th when they believe the crafted crashed But that whole weekend and just a couple weeks before that was the famous Kenneth Arnold sighting up in Washington state and And he's a military pilot and he's flying back and sees a formation of lights And that made the news and then just a few weeks later before Roswell if you look in the papers, there's been what they call a Flat you know like a huge Kind of increase in sightings in the Southwest especially the Southwest US. So it wasn't just Roswell I mean it was Arizona it was Other parts I think Southern California stuff like that and then all the sudden you have this crashed You know so something somebody maybe maybe that's a you know Organized effort was interested in what's going on there that very important time in history and then you have this crashed so yeah It just baffles me though that like we have such a huge story to tell and yet so many people are just still interested You know in who's gonna win the bachelor American Idol and you know we just keep ourselves distracted Kardashians Kardashian.
Yeah, I mean I get that it doesn't affect your daily life But neither do the Kardashians now like if I wake up tomorrow I still have to go to work if to know there's you know alien contact it would rock your world for you know several months But if you don't have that information yet, you're still like wow this is really really cool and amazing But I still have to pay the bills and it told effects your daily life I don't think the majority of people are going to really care enough, you know to make it a social movement So if we can Ben you mentioned Roswell now you've been out there and actually investigated the site having you Yeah, I've been there I think three times now to what they call the debris field So if you were to go down there, I think one guy was still doing tours to what they take you to the tourist debris field And it's nowhere near it Yeah, the actual debris field is outside of a little town called Corona, which is a good hour drive from Roswell and If you looked online their sci-fi channel did a documentary in the gosh I want to say it was 90s But it was probably later than that and they made a monument for the site So if you were able to find that which is still really hard because you got to go through gates and peel in land and all this That's pretty close to it But they deliberately put it away from it You could see it from there But they put it away from it because they didn't want people going to the actual debris field and throwing stuff on the ground And like hey look what I found and yeah, whatever so I Couple times and we've done a lot of metal detecting so tell us what about those investigations if you would like what kind of stuff have you found? Anything along those lines well, I mean I'd be exciting to a lot of people but We've not me personally but the guys that I've been with have been able to find military buttons I was just gonna say that was that was a question I was gonna ask I remember seeing something Many years ago about some guys that were investigating the actual debris site and finding a military button They were actually able to date it back to that time period when there would have been actual military people on site Yeah, absolutely and so it's speculation, but it's like if you were to go there and see this area I've been to crash sites of military planes that crashed in the early 50s Okay, just a couple years later and it's amazing because not many people just wander out into you know The desert into how rural this place is and they don't touch things in the desert You would think oh well the wind would blow it away and everything well the one crash that I went to I found Rivets and wires and chunks of metal like the thing just happened last year Wow all over the ground and you know very concentrated location because of the little Depressions in the ground and such and I'm like well if this could happen, you know It's very possible that there is still material from 70 years ago in the debris field But the thing is we do have evidence that the government had gone back Several times and if you look at satellite photos You'll see how the topography changed because the witnesses who participated in the digs said that they were told to tear up everything if it's if it's living Every plant you know every bush everything tear it up pull it out and they went through at least a couple inches of topsoil And took just tons and tons of dirt and and and hold it out of there. They didn't want any trace of anything But yet we have had little things like little buttons or stuff that would indicate There was a military presence there and you'd you look at the area like why would they have the military walking or camping around here? There's nothing here.
It's grazing land. I mean way out in the middle nowhere. So that's about it I mean it's been found we had a couple Pieces of unidentified metal and the problem with that is getting those all tested It costs a lot of money to have the metallurgy done With you know the radio isotopes and then so if you find something you're like wow This could be something like remember these people that do this they're paying it out of their own pocket And then it turns out to be you know the one of them that we found was an aluminum magnesium alloy But the way that the Composition was put together we weren't able to kind of pin down What it would have been used in but it could have been earlier origin and so you know you write that off Okay, well it was it was maybe part of a plane or something So but then you have to ask yourself okay Well, why is there no record of a plane you know crashing here in this area and It's a lot of fun, but it's every every couple years you'll have somebody tell the story of how the grandpa had a piece of it And you know he went and told somebody in town and passed it around at a bar and then the men in black showed up and took it from him and threatened it So has there ever been any documentation about people finding something like a piece of metal where they haven't been able to pinpoint Specifically that it's terrestrial and origin or is that all just like here say well? No, I mean, there's very good.
I've spoken to some of the witnesses who were there So the night after and there's pretty much maybe only a handful of people left alive one of them I forget her last name, but it's a woman if it was by Frank was he was something in the fire department He was the chief or battalion commander something but he was one of the responders who went out there that night to help put out fire and control the situation and He brought back a piece of it and took it back to their home And she remembers being a little girl him laying the stuff out on the table Wow And this is the memory foil that they talked about you could wad it up in your hand and let it go And it would straighten out and flatten out smooth Wow and literally float it was so lightweight, but it was stronger than steel You could get it spend it. I mean burn it and and just these really strange properties and she herself was threatened by Someone from the military base, but he was he was assigned there with the military police Who came to their house and kind of pulled the kids aside and basically said hey, you know what you were shown by your dad If you tell anybody We'll take you out to the desert. We'll kill you if you want to see your family again, you know and so traumatic for a little girl so She lived with that for years and years thinking if she ever said anything her family was gonna die and There's plenty of stories of that and having talked to the people, you know face to face and hearing their words I have no doubt, you know to disbelieve them So does the piece do the pieces exist now? Well, I think if anyone had any of it They're they're probably not gonna come out and share it at this point But I have had people call me up and I've had people you know in TV show We did for history channel Canada had a guy meet me in Albuquerque and You had this piece of metal and it was really cool I mean you'd like run it on the ground it was spark and spray and all this stuff and it was super tough and We had a test that's that's maybe a story for another time, but it turned out to be very radioactive And I'd been walking around with it all day in my pocket and It was given to him by an old guy who worked for white sands laboratory range the missile range, right?
So I think what we were able to determine what it was a casing to a bomb Yeah, it was like 90% you're raining That's why you glow the dark now Yeah, it was interesting, but you know you gotta it's kind of it's kind of those who are really into this they hear The you know that so-and-so has a piece and this and that and 95% of the time or more Though they're just wild goose chases. You don't even end up talking to the person who has the piece of metal, you know But still it's that little bit of hope in you. It's like, you know Oak Island treasure. Why are they still looking for the thing?
It's like well that little blink of hope that maybe you'll be the one to find it and so every time I go to Roswell You know I bring my metal detector and I take a day and I go up to Corona You know and I'm looking in cracked and crevices and I found a cave that I want to explore now You know and I say it's so irrational. It's so irrational, but I'm like this cave is right next to an area that as the story goes the the craft crashed and They believe it broke apart and it may be some part of it like an escape hatch or some sort continued on for another couple of miles Because Mac Brazel who was the rancher there he said that There was a Sun he Mac had a son and then he also had another boy in the area that worked for him and I forget the names right now But he claims that I think Mac told him later that he had gone back with him or that he was hearing a story for Mac But they had found one of these beings that was still alive it was kind of laid out underneath the tree and We pinpointed that specific area. It's a watering station and in that watering station There is a cave that kind of goes back into the well But you know I can't fit in it I got in about 10 feet and I almost got stuck and was like panic and What I want to do is to go back with one of those like flumber cameras Yeah, yeah, you know and fish one down see like 10 20 feet see if I can go back even further and just check it out You know because it might you know nine-year-old brain Imagination I'm thinking that maybe something crawled back there and died right and the military known would be able to go back in there And so it wasn't ever explored. Yeah, that's so that's really cool.
Yeah On the on the KSL Getting caught paying kids 20 bucks. Hey, can you fit to a dog door if you can fit through a doggy door call me Here's 20 bucks in this hole wait. No, let's talk about I can totally picture where you're coming from though. You're nine-year-old inter-child is like imagining, you know, buried treasure I get that that's so cool.
We're like, you know what would fit in there like if I could force a rabbit or a cat with a camera on it To go back in there than I would, you know, but It's it's that type of thing. It's like gold fever because it's so historic and so much hype built around it You you always think there's got to be one piece somewhere something we can find it's a smoking gun You know that this metal isn't from Earth and that could maybe prove that the whole thing really happened, you know But those those who think it was nothing, you know, have every right I guess to kind of laugh and make fun of people who spend their whole lives Looking for it, but you know, there's a there's a skeleton of a gray that crawled inside there and just waiting to be found So let me ask you this open for I know that Roswell's like hugely publicized is there anything similar to Roswell that doesn't get nearly as much Press. Yeah, there's plenty of crashes that weren't see Roswell wasn't even Really known until the 80s anyways. It was Stan Friedman who who kind of stumbled upon it I can't remember exactly how maybe someone had contacted him But it's amazing with the hundreds of people that were involved in it that came out.
It had to been a secret with so much You know, like actual the threat and the fear that people had was very real in order for them to keep quiet about it for all those years You know, so there are other ones like We've got the crash in keemman, Arizona, you know, which which you had quite a bit of involvement There's there's a Kexburg, Pennsylvania Which was I think 1965 and it was kind of like an acorn type of an object that came down in the woods And we know that with that one and the Roswell, we know both of them went to write Patterson Air Force Base And which was still is the Air Force's foreign intelligence Forget no blanket blanket right now a foreign technology division Where they would back engineer anything that wasn't ours and so we know that those things happened There's there's a Russian kind of a UFO event that they call, you know, the Russian Roswell or there were crashes There's the UK event which was bent waters or Rendles from forces. It's known and That one wasn't a crash, but yeah, I've heard about that for the UK. Sorry to interrupt you US joint Air Force Base, so with US officers You know the the craft flying over over two different weekends Around Christmas time and the officers I've met several of them who were witnesses and actually some of them claimed to actually walk up to the craft and be able to touch it Very credible people but you know again the greatest story is ever told and and it seems to be still sort of like this little niche group That's like well if the rest of the world opened their eyes and really cared to look into this, you know It would have stoned people but it doesn't really concern them So is there any special like technology or devices that you use when you're on these UFO chases when you're when you're trying to investigate you mentioned metal detectors I can understand that for investigating crash sites, but when you're like out in the field and you're trying to see a UFO Is there any special equipment that you use IR cameras? Sounds like you're setting me up to plug my company.
I'm giving you a free opportunity Well, like I'm going out this week to the UFO Congress and This I think is probably my fifth or sixth year with them and I'm gonna be out of contact in the desert which is down in Well, it's always been kind of Joshua tree area, California nice and the kind of one of the things they add now They've been doing and not just having speakers is to do a sky watch we call it and I Sell night vision gear, so we'll bring you know several pairs of goggles And then I cook one of the scopes up to a huge screen and so people usually an older crowd and they sit in their lawn chairs You know who watch the sky? Sounds very relaxing it is and you know, but there have been some quite quite incredible things cited especially I think it was last year maybe the year before it contacted the desert and Dozens of people saw these lights very erratic lights that My good friends, you know the difference between the drone and the helicopter or Chinese lantern, you know, they were telling me now This was the real deal Kind of showed up and made a display, you know for these people and wow the night vision allows you to record it Night vision allows you to see some things like satellite type objects You wouldn't be able to see if you didn't have it just because they light enhancement You know and then we'll use equipment that we use in ghost hunting too, so I sell thermal cameras You know some of them like hook up to your smartphone and that's sort of a new thing because like well Why would we use this in UFO stuff? I was near skinwalker ranch just half our way in In Duchenne and I was staying at a bed and breakfast and which by the way was haunted in itself, which was interesting, but Sorry for another time. Yeah, I recorded a triangle Flying over the the mountain ridge just out in the back Wow, and I couldn't see it with my own eyes I was right outside and I was looking at it trying to find lights trying to find anything and it only shows up on the thermal camera So it's just like that the flier one camera that just attaches to your smartphone or is that no?
So the flier one no offense to flier because I love their stuff This was a flier camera But this is one that they'd given me for TV show and it's like 640 by 480 Resiliter yeah 640 resolution So that's that's high res in the thermal world what the flier one is when I try to sell that camera that you know become a dealer The guy was very truthful. I mean he goes don't he's like this. He's like yeah for 300 bucks or whatever If someone wants to get into thermal, you know good for them because that's like the cheapest you can do it But he said it's it's I don't even want you selling it. He's like it's not what you're looking for It's like an 80 by 60 something pixel Which is fine if people just want to say they have thermal but know what we sell and what we use is at least 388 yeah by I think to with a 286 or something and now I just got the high res that connects to your phone Which is 640 by 480 and it's amazing Now as to what it's gonna retail it's gonna be around the 3000 range which is which is quite a reduction from you know Expecting to pay six to seven grand, you know for one of that res.
Yes, they're most of the pricey We looked into this the one the one that we wanted was like a $12,000 camera, so oh well there you go So yeah, we got that line around that's way better than I personally purchased one of the flier ones and it's kind of fun to play around with But yeah, it's it's I kind of agree with you. It's not like fantastic by any means either and it's not it's not a dison Flier because they're the leader industry standard that was really kind of meant for Sort of you know home inspector plumbers when they're really up close to an object and they don't need the resolution like They just want to know is this pipe hodder cold is You know a mechanic they're looking you know what hoves is this one leaking that's what I was meant for but even then it's not a commercial Great, so it is fun, but I guess it's kind of like well someone like me who's been spoiled with all the other stuff You know you look at it and I'm always thinking well if it's if it's worth spending a you know a good chunk of money I want something that's not gonna make me feel bad at night You know that I wasted you go for the good toys don't waste your time with the the small change Well, yeah I get it. It's fine. I think it's funny.
I have to ask you though Of course everyone knows you from factor fake which I still love watching I I've got those you know recorded and I'll pull them out and watch them every once in a while And I know that you've been talking about doing other projects as well Is there any kind of breaking news that you can allude to any upcoming things we should be watching out for? I forgot tell you guys that Ben said this is an interview because he said he wasn't gonna do any interviews Okay, so maybe we should be hush hush about it Okay, I've got a go over an outline as soon as I get off with you guys and get up super early tomorrow To film some pickups for a pilot tomorrow, and I can't mention the network or the The concept but it's in the mystery genre awesome I would be hosting the show pretty much by myself So I'm really hoping it goes It'd be a really really fun show to do on a really big network and they like it so far if you need me help I know some like really good podcast host that could help you out. Yeah inside edge on the paranormal and some fantastic paranormal Vessiators I will need people to help me source things to go, you know with this concept and if you you know We're able to find a story of some sort and you're my expert. Yeah, I'm your hul Secretary Just just mention Wisps on the TV show randomly So I know the time you know I've been a random appearances is kind of like you know It's funny that it's types of things I do like I was on a Japanese show a couple times They've had me on a few different episodes because they like working with me and it's just funny, you know you ever watch that What was it it was kind of like like the American version of wiped out?
Oh most extreme challenge? Yes Yeah, love that. Okay, so Japanese shows could be so just crazy. Uh-huh and this one is it's called what is this mystery?
And they come interviewing me and we spend a whole day filming and then it ends up being like a you know three minute segment I don't understand a lick of Japanese, but it's like these teen audience and these adults are the the researchers and they're like You know the subtitles. It's like we went out to visit Ben Hanson And then they show the clip You know of the investigation and they come back to the honest like oh You know like like they're sounded by what I've discovered and they could be making fun of me I don't know but it's it's it's really fun Because you know get these random shows like that and then I did a couple kind of appearances this past year Josh Gates is a good friend and Did a little appearance on his show and travel and Nick Groff has been really awesome. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I've seen him on paranormal Lockdown too.
That's that's really cool. Yeah, I go to Shepherdstown And so he's running those two shows and you know I I didn't really know Nick that well Until I did that first show with him. I had met Aaron and Zach a couple times, but Nick is totally different Nick Nick is the real deal like He really not only cares, you know about advancing the science of it But his mind is just constantly turning with theories and stuff and I can't say as much you know And I'm not gonna name names, but but some of those other TV shows You know they're kind of in it because well To do and I just like ghost hunting and they wouldn't dramatize anything like that or make up stuff Never never but no I can get that too I kind of read the same thing when I watch Nick investigate too so I can understand why they might have you know differences in You know where they want to go. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, and I don't get into his thing But from what I heard it was awful, you know what happened with him, but yeah, he's made the best of it and He's been very successful doing this and I just love how he's legitimately open to trying new things and new ideas and So a really good guy him and both of his co-hosts, you know the different shows So it's been fun, you know, but I the TV thing I just kind of put you know honestly in the back burner at the moment because it's really hard to sell shows and it's really hard to The genre just goes through kind of trends and spurts and and so what's hot, you know one week You know destination America wants ghost hunting shows and then then all of a sudden no one wants them and you know And then everyone wants to show about finding missing people in the woods And I did you know a couple pilots for that and you know It just changes so often it's it's really frustrating trying to figure out what the networks want It says interesting there because for a while it seemed like the ghost hunting thing was really saturated I mean it seemed like every every major studio had one of the shows Yes, there's some you know even to the point here where you you taught went from having a dozen teams to five or six dozen teams Because of the saturation, you know everybody in their uncle at a flashlight decided to go out and hunt ghosts because I saw it on the TV Yeah, yeah, it's true. It's very true and and I think it's probably waned quite a bit as well and A lot of them were just learning their techniques or replicating what people did on TV and some of the people on TV There's no basis behind what they did We'll just make something up and and whatever and then you got people copying them and then people swearing, you know that they got legitimate You know results from that technique, you know, so it's interesting Well, hey, I know you have family out here in Utah When you do come out and visit do you ever put on like any skywatches because this really piqued my interest I would love to learn more about this and just maybe even go on one sometime Now we haven't done the skywatches you have been wanting to It's just normally, you know, it's too cold to do it anytime other than summer or fall and and when I've gone out there We've just talked about doing it and we really should organize something I like to come out, you know for a good four days or so and we were actually going to organize a skinwalker ranch trip That would be cool. That's like on my bucket list.
Yeah, it's gonna work around with you I think that would be awesome. Yeah, I'm like in our group here of everyone that we're talking to right now I like believe in the UFOs the least and it's something I've kind of wanted to look into and learn more about and I think you know What better person to learn from than you because this is like what you do so I think investigating skinwalker I mean I've investigated with you before and I think you're awesome And I think investigating skinwalker ranch with you would be awesome like I don't know like I can't think of anything else I'd rather do besides like, you know, go investigate the failure castle But those are like the top two things on my list of things. I want to do I've always wanted to go to skinwalker ranch to I think that'd be just a really cool site Well, you know now I don't know what the latest is with it, but there was a court injunction placed on They were preventing people from going through that what was a public easement I don't know what this what the status is now But the judge had ordered that they had to open that road and so you could literally drive kind of down the middle of the property awesome yeah, and Then Bigelow sold it and I've talked to George Knapp, you know who's the Vegas reporter and he wrote the book hunt for the skinwalker and He's working on a documentary. So he's not really wanting to be involved in anything else with that right now, but He's been in contact with the people who own the property and they really want to be anonymous and from what I understand They purchased it for the purpose of doing paranormal research You know so very interesting, you know We got a lot of money to buy that for Bigelow Mm-hmm and then Bigelow's got to be pretty much just done with it Maybe he thinks there's nothing else going on there anymore But another group purchases it and then they don't want tell anyone anything about their findings What they're doing out there But you do have the neighbors and I'm told that some of the neighbors are willing to if you pay and I don't think it's an Exorbitant amount they'll let you be on their property and so you literally can look right over the fence Set up some bleachers or something five dollars in a picture this not hole You know so we could just sit there on the little laugh and watch this little thing that's really cool.
It's transient You know, it's like any other paranormal thing. You can't predict it It's the kind of come and go in cycles. Yeah, it's it's the old analogy that use all the time to Gary about efficient whole You know one day you should be pulling fish out left and right the next day you go back the same time And there's nothing. Yeah, yeah, and say that's I think that's how you a full-hunting is ghost hunting fishing right place right time Yeah, we can hit one venue one day and it's nuts and we hit same venue two days later and it's dead as can be No, but I did it anyway Well, we've kind of kept you for a little bit longer than we intended I know you got early morning, so we're gonna let you go But before we do it Taylor should you guys have any other questions you guys want to cover up in unless there's anything else that you want to plug You know, you've got an audience That's willing to listen to anything that any websites that we could refer them to you Let's throw your night vision website out there if we can't yeah, yeah, it's a night Vision ops so ops night vision ops calm and I have not put the there You'll see a thermal camera on there That's the 640 by 480 version and as soon as I lock down a price I'll put the the other one up there and I'll do some demo videos so you can see the difference I am gonna try and come up and still talk into some people I think it's in the first week or last week of last week of May they've got the Utah UFO festival or something the market the aliens Yeah, which we're actually heavily involved in I'm assuming you're working with an Lee Reuter Or something Martinez, which one are you talking about there's I know on June 9th?
There's a march with the aliens Expo that they're putting on with that one. I believe it's gonna be a trolley square. No, I don't know that one Oh, okay. Oh, I was gonna say I know there's one that I think they've been talking in talks with you to have you come out But I guess well in Cedar City.
Oh, okay. I say I am going to one in October up there in Utah And so I will as soon as we finalize that I'll put it I'll put up the links and stuff that would be cool I think that's what I was thinking about. I know that the people that put on the Utah paranormal Expo last year They did at the Southtown Expo Center I think this year they're doing it. I'm probably squared we actually work very close with those people How did that turn out?
Well, maybe you can tell me off here Yeah, I'll let you know I'll let you know if you're but actually the paranormal festival they did this last year or the paranormal Like so I'm really well Success anyway, but like I said we kept you now and I feel like there's a ton of territory that we can still cover So we may have to get with you here in a few months when you're not quite so busy in a range another interview if you're good with that Yeah, then it's really been a pleasure talking to you too Thanks guys. Yeah, thanks for thinking to me and we do Range something yeah, you know some sort of summer summer thing together. We all look forward to investigating with you again So all right well, I'm gonna end the interview here and we'll pipe back in with a show in just a second But I'm gonna keep you on so hang tight for just a second. I think I'm Ben peace out And that's an act told the proctologist if that's your pen that wish your thermometer Hey, it's weird.
It's not like we've been up there with that. No, what we actually was me We ended the episode talked to Ben for another probably 15 minutes just about stuff because we're actually really good friends with Ben And we don't want you guys to know what we were talking about It was mostly Tacos you're talking about tacos um but we do need to talk about some other stuff real quick I want tacos Tim. I know that you had an investigation Family tree with another paranormal group of her parents were friends with yes, I did. I'll talk about that No, that was a total Deann answer.
Yeah, I do So yeah, it was actually really fun. I've never actually got a chance to investigate with a repair And old before that night and seeing then alert you would love this because they are all about the scientific aspect of the parents They had so many gadgets and toys that's got more gear than any other team. I've seen on the planet It was cool. They had I mean obviously they had the rampods.
They had periscope. They had the parent Oh, puck awesome, which when I saw them using the puck, I'm kind of like I want yeah, right? If you don't know the puck is basically this little device that reads the entire room you can type in questions in your phone and you See on ghost adventures. Yes, the spirits spirits can respond to it It will show up on the screen, but you can actually also detect like changes in motion in the room lighting Temperature and all sorts of other stuff for this thing So it's kind of cool But investigating with these guys it was so nice to kind of see the whole scientific aspect like we try to do that as well But we also rely a lot on the metaphysical aspect of investigating So to see a group that that did just the scientific side was it was really cool to see how these guys operated I love it.
I look forward to working with them again as I know they look forward working with us Yeah, I thought I was gonna try and make it down But I didn't have the time that would be cool though to maybe schedule an investigation where we can get both groups together That'd be a lot of fun. I'm trying to find a location that's kind of more centralized for both of us because they are in Logan Okay, they drove all the way from Logan the northern Idaho Wow, you know we ought to do that is crazy for doglesses a little closer than that That's an equin, yes for this is I'm sure we can find some other locations a little It's almost like the West teams may be working on another for dogs We are just but they're also working on another family train with the Asian as well We are and I know that's in Chris Mill as it warms up a little bit price more for your factory Yeah, I think it may be a silent around June I know we probably investigation every month, but it looks like one might happen in February We were scouting out we've determined that It's not great for a public investigation But it is if you want to know that the venue isn't want to go there with us a smaller group is best and we can probably work something out So if you had some like skull pants show up start shouting it would ruin everybody's evidence like I reference skull pants there You know that's a great high-end for a show But yeah investigating the bare river guys was it was awesome There was it was funny though because my group seemed to have all the activity where the other group seemed to have none and It's funny to say that because last night when we had to kind of a whisk movie night And I think everybody who was in the non-activity group was sitting with me at dinner They're bitching about how you had all the activity and they didn't see sick them This is true. Yeah Well what I would I determined I could be wrong on this I'd love for Brandy to meet this particular investigator But I kind of got the vibe that he's kind of got the same kind of gift going on that special K has where he he's a natural Shiller where he inadvertently like shields everyone that's around him without realizing what he's doing and I think by doing so It kind of was off putting to the spirits because I noticed when he did come over and the whole group was together All the activity kind of seemed to die down when he was around But when he was he was an opposite group of mine So to me that would make sense that their group had nothing going on and mine had everything going on We actually had one point where their lead investigator He more or less got attacked and I do want to remind people that when you're on investigation Please do not do anything that a spirit would consider an invitation or a challenge because I think he wasn't he wasn't trying You want to fight someone fight me? Yes, he wasn't he wasn't like trying to challenge the spirit But I think it kind of came across that way and the spirit came out him pretty quick And it ended up getting the point where he had a he removed himself from the venue I had to kind of cool down a little bit and fortunately I had a one of our new investigators was there and we gave him a Piece of blessing and kind of calm down after that but what was said exactly that was kind of confusing about I'm curious So so what was going on is down the main the bigger banquet room after the Less side of the building there's a hallway that goes down the woman's bathroom with a big portal is Several of his investigators reported seeing red eyes down the hallway So what he did is and I've seen Paul let's do the same thing They sat up a chair facing down the hallway and just seeing what was gonna happen and he reported it seeing the red eyes as well And then my voice went out Sorry, can you take there is no Tim only I am the gatekeeper are you the key master?
I'm sure I can't I yeah, so he Staring on the hallway and you guys have witnessed a couple times were stuff just starts coming to me From spirits. I know you've witnessed it. It's I 49 Where I just started kind of knowing what the spirit was thinking and I'm pretty sure it's the one that we call JJ Which is in my opinion a nastier spirit than Lucy? But I'm like he thinks that he can intimidate you and in a change response was well He can't and I go well There's been a couple times that you've kind of jumped tonight a little bit and he's thinking that because of that You're easily intimidated and that he's trying to intimidate you and his response was well challenged accepted.
Oh, yeah Yeah, that would definitely be an invite so and when he said that the Room to me not only felt physically darker, but heavier as well And it was shortly after that that he got up and he's like he said he felt angry and anxious and and it was just all worked Up and had all this energy so hmm. We ended up giving up giving a piece of blessing and kind of calm down from there But yeah, it's just it's not I really want to investigate with these guys again. I think they're awesome But like so they're more focused on the scientific side So I mean to them like something I don't know that they kind of believe in some of the same stuff that we do And every panel team can differ on their belief systems I know saying I know our team kind of we're kind of square in the middle. We deal with some metaphysical stuff We deal with some scientific stuff where I would push right square in the middle of the fence I was just kind of in the heat of the moment I don't think he was intentionally trying to cause problems for himself or anyone else It's just you know, it's just in the moment the spirit was working on him and he's a challenge accepted Well, that's the key is I think a lot of times most people don't knowingly challenge I think it's the kind of thing where you inadvertently put yourself in that position to make that challenge It's always good to have people there because you've been with me People have challenged up and everybody's like whoa, take it back.
Take it back. Well, it's funny I almost didn't go that night you and I had actually talked about it and decided, you know, hey We're not gonna go yeah, I had a bunch of stuff going on and you said that you had a bunch of stuff going on And I just I was sitting at home right about the time that I should be leaving to meet up with everybody And I'm just like got that gut feeling I'm like I need to go down there like I thought was I was just gonna go down have dinner with these guys Just kind of help them get set up and then leave and as we were going I just I'm like I don't think I tell me I need to stay and After what kind of unravel throughout the night I'm actually glad that I was there because I don't know that anyone else would have kind of known what to do in that situation Yeah, I want to say I know that some of our best years are down there We're relatively new I mean Dan was there But I think our other investigators were some of our newer investigators that would have been kind of caught flat-footed our two newest investigators actually Yeah, we want to have been on the team for less than two months a month. Yeah, so anyway We should be wrapped up as far as the show goes you guys have any business you guys want to talk about before we end the show? Well, I can tell you for sure April 14th is when we are going to be returning to family tree So as soon as a So I get that finalized with the restaurant which I pretty much already have I just have to remind them to change the date on the calendar for me We will have tickets going on sale for that and I don't have a firm date yet But we were looking for Douglas for March.
Yeah, I get a lot of people asking me about tickets when they're gonna be available How much they'll be where they can get them so any kind of information would be great So I can pass along to people that I take a price all depends on the venue Yeah, obviously if we do family tree again, we did $50 per ticket last time That's probably about what it'll be this next time And the thing is and I know we've kind of beat this dead horse to death We will set our ticket prices at something that's reasonable and we will always keep our group number small enough to That'll be a quality investigation. We're not gonna try and see many bodies. We can unreasonably pack into a venue We're gonna try and be small enough to make it worth your while at the same time though We have to cover our costs for you know renting out the venue so you know Not to make a ton of profit, but you know just cover our own expenses too. Yeah, but keep in mind that when we do self-dickets We're I think last time we did family tree when we kept at 15 tickets 15 and they sold out with them two hours To be honest with you once we got there it was actually pretty small We may even bump that number up because I think we could reasonably fit in five or six more people without any yeah I think so without stepping on each other's toes because it was a once we got to really split up it was pretty small both groups So anyway, we appreciate you guys tuning in we apologize for not in the show last week But we were gonna have been on a tap for this week Yeah, and some of us decided that the stupor bowl was more important than recording so I'm just grateful that the Pat's lost That's all I know a lot of people are groaning right now because I said that but I just I hate the Pat's with a passion Almost as bad as the Cowboys.
All right. Everybody have a good night Thanks for tuning in and we'll be back with a regular show next time we're supposed to be back for a good show We'll be next week. We should have two shows in a row. We should and then we'll go back to our every other week Yeah, so thanks so much guys.
Have a good night. Peace out butterflies later You're listening to the Wisps was at your investigative studies for paranormal science Their grown ass adults that like to sit in the dark and talk to each other, but they all love their moms So that should account for something
