Ben Mwasinga, Senior Manager: Heritage Conservation Management at the South African Heritage Resources Agency

The auction of some of Nelson Mandela’s personal belongings will go ahead next month after a two-year legal battle between his daughter Makaziwe Mandela and the SA government. Among the things to be auctioned are his ID book, Madiba shirts and a tennis racket he used on Robbed Island.
