BENDing Rules

from “Bend”ing Rules

At about 18yrs old you start making your own decisions, the choices are daunting and often there is a void if meaningful advice and direction. If you are lucky, you’ll figure some things out by 35 or 40 if it’s not too late to shift gears. I have been an entrepreneur all my adult life, nothing unusual about that. I live in a relatively small town in Oregon, the city of Bend. I am lucky to have found success in a holistic way, maintaining a commitment to things I care about beyond work- family, friends, travels, hobbies, charity and so forth. I believe you can live life according to your rules and find your path, but you have to be willing to “Bend” the rules and from time-to-time and challenge conventional wisdoms to stay in the happiness zone and that’s not always easy. This podcast will focus on lessons and experiences I am able to impart as well as those of my colleagues and friends that have been able to achieve similar results. At the end of the day, if we can help other aspiring entrepreneurs and risk takers succeed, then it has been time well spent. But the bottom line is don’t let anyone say you can’t have it all.
