Bent Ears - Emeralds

from Bent Ears Audio Laboratories · host Tom

This is the very first composition I did back in the early 90s when I was forced to give up drums due to a wrist problem (ganglial cyst) developed by decades of hard fast playing. You can take the musician away from the music, but you'll never take the music away from the musician. After 13000 dollars worth of surgery and the interminable recovery period, I turned to keyboards to continue my creative output. Anyway, this one is fully sequenced-no live tracks. All sounds except the percussion done on the ESQ and all drums were sequenced on the ESQ and MIDI'ed to the PK6. It's a bit repetative (at least to me) because it's a series of short sequences strung together and the effects are somewhat hamhanded, but it has a decent beat and it's not too hard to listen to.
