They do not recognize him; he accuses them of spying, detains Simeon, and demands they return with Benjamin. Their silver mysteriously reappears in their sacks, stirring old guilt. Reluctantly, Jacob later sends Benjamin with Judah as guarantor.Back in Egypt, Joseph hosts them at a strange, tender feast, seating them by birth order and favoring Benjamin.
