Thinking about Berlin, conjures up many thoughts. It is a city of many historical events, with iconic places to visit. People come from all over the world to see the sights and learn a little more about its history. There are of course many “must visit” places of interest in the city. Within walking distance from my centrally located hotel was Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Berliner Dom (Cathedral), Berlin Wall Memorial, Potsdammer Platz, Holocaust Memorial, Reichstag Building, Pergamon Museum and many others.Being an “Old School” rock music fan for most of my life (60s and 70s era), I convinced myself to visit the Berlin Philharmonic one night and see the orchestra in action. "Nothing like a live symphony performance to feed and compose the soul.”If you are in Europe, pay a visit for a few days.
