Bernard Hickey: It would be very difficult for any politician to change rules around universal super

The Retirement Commission's advising against raising the retirement age. The Commission's three-yearly Review of Retirement Income Policies makes 35 recommendations for government, private sector, researchers, employers and itself. Jane Wrightson says some believe an age of 65 is unaffordable - she's asking where that evidence came from. She says research shows if the age rises -- women, Maori, and Pasifika will hurt the most.
