Wedged between over-sized flannel and Raiders Starter jackets, the spandex singlet wearing contingency of 90s lore emerged as a popular genre. Although there weren't many who admitted to enjoying the pulse pounding bass, the operatic and over-the-top choruses replete with the obligatory inexplicable rap interlude, many of us actually enjoyed (maybe not publicly) this unique, often times lampooned genre.
