BEST OF 2017 - RUNNING THE POINT w/ JASON CAREY

from ATL PODCAST NETWORK · host ATL PODCAST NETWORK

Welcome to the Best of Running the Point w/ Jason Carey for 2017. It was such a delight and definitely a pleasure to have Ms Lelee Lyons ( @therealleleeswv ) in studio gracing us with her presence for part of this Best of 2017 episode of Running the Point w/ Jason Carey ( @jason804 ). Also joining us for the interview was the very influential Izzy Ike. ( @izzyike ). They both were so inspirational and entertaining. Two real and genuinely honest and thoughtful people who took time to come by and be a part of this movement. We are sure you will enjoy this brief snippet of the entire interview. Also on this episode, we take a few minutes from the original episode ( ) and let you hear a piece of the conversation with author Jessica Chiha ( @thelittlehomie ) who wrote the book A B to Jay-Z. We sat down with the author to get a better understanding of the true story behind how this book came into existence and motivation behind the creators. The full interview dives into several topics including a brief focus on the cultural differences of international understanding of words, slang, phrasing, and perception. Jessica gets an opportunity to explain how she navigated through the controversy surrounding the book and how she has a better appreciation for the culture and greater love for hip hop. To listen to both interviews in their entirety, go to ATLPN.COM or one of our other media locations ( Apple Podcast, SoundCloud, or Google Play ). Check out Jason Carey on all of his platforms as well, such as JC Squared on IBNX radio ( @IBNXRADIO ) on Mondays from 7pm - 9pm.
