Best of the 80s

from Bounce FM

Hello and welcome to the 76th episode of Bounce FM and the very first show of 2022 with your DJ, DJ Chappers. How are you all doing? Hope you’re all well and had a nice Christmas and New Year! I’m buzzing to be back on the airwaves, I’m all refreshed and ready to go into 2022!For my first show back I thought I would do an 80s best off podcast because I know we all love a bit of 80s music don’t we! It’s the perfect way to kick off 2022! So I’m going to be playing 3 songs for each year of the 80s and then I am going to be reading out some big headlines from each respective year. The 1980s was a time of political, economic, and social change. When you think of the ‘80s, you picture the likes of Pac-Man, Rubix Cubes, the big hair, neon leggings, and horrendous shoulder pads are all characteristic trends of this decade. It was the beginning of society’s obsession with aesthetic, as consumerism changed what it mean to express oneself. People could now say something about themselves, their status, or their interests, with brands and the style they chose more so than ever.So please come and join me on a journey through 1980s, enjoy!
