Best-Selling Author, Rejection, Divorce, Starting Over, and Falling In Love with Mark Leslie

from Becoming Parents - Birth Stories and Birthwork Wisdom · host Jennifer Campbell

Even in his earliest memories, the concept from the Spider-Man comic books of "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" resonated with Mark Leslie Lefebvre. It might have been because he self-identifies with the meek and nerdy Peter Parker; because it definitely wasn’t an affinity to spiders. He’s still deathly afraid of them. Not to mention the dark. But despite not ever having any power, he always took that responsibility seriously.   Mark fell in love with storytelling and with writing and followed that dream with an unwavering conviction.   Along the way, he learned to embrace rejection, failure, false starts, and loss as stepping stones on the larger journey.  At the age of 45, his near 20-year relationship and marriage ended with the wife and mother of his only child saying she no longer loved him. Shortly after, he was faced with an insurmountable brick wall in the corporate world which he was forced to leave and he had to re-invent himself as an entrepreneur.   In a short time period, he rebuilt his personal and professional life from scratch, while further exploiting the desire to share stories and to use his powers, which he realized were there all along, to help others.   FIND MARK HERE www.markleslie.ca http://twitter.com/markleslie http://instagram.com/markleslielefebvre http://youtube.com/markleslielefebvre https://facebook.com/markleslieauthor --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/becoming-parents/message
