Lakita Stewart-Thompson is a servant of the Lord, visionary, mother, daughter, sister, mentor, entrepreneur, community advocate, teacher, and #1best-selling author. Raised in Maryland, Lakita is the Founder/President of Mothers & Daughters United Worldwide, which fosters "Better Bonds Between Daughters and Moms". Her ultimate desire is to have an organization that creates better situations for women and girls in crisis around the globe through words and acts of service. Lakita is currently a Program Assistant for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Analysis and Intelligence, with a responsibility to serve as the first point of contact for airline operators with regards to flights both domestic and international. Prior to joining DHS, she worked with High Road School as a special educator, teaching special needs children suffering with behavioral, mental, social, and learning disabilities for over 8 years.  With a MBA in Information Technology, Lakita always had a desire to become an entrepreneur, teach , motivate, and educate the youth, be an advocate for the less fortunate, and create opportunities for others. She combined everything she loved and founded small businesses that cater to women and children in need.
